There has been a proposed amendment to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Specifically, Rule 45. that pertains to the service of Federal Court subpoenas. While the proposed amendment seeks to make a few changes, the major change is to allow subpoenas to be served by “United States mail or commercial-carrier delivery, if the selected method provides confirmation of actual receipt.”
