Big changes are coming to the insurance industry due to the Florida Legislature's passing of Senate Bill 76 which addresses "Insurance Reform." Some of the biggest changes are going to have a large impact on the way roofers are able to solicit homeowners. One of the most important duties that an insurance carrier has to its customers is the duty to adjust their claims in good faith. Not only is this duty, in my view, a theoretical ethical guideline by which all insurance companies should adhere to.
