US Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan; former Senior Attorney in the Office of Inspector General. in 1970 from the University of Michigan. He was first admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Michigan in 1970 and then the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1971. Haber was appointed an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Mich
igan (1971-1979). He became a Senior Attorney in the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in 1979 and continued in that position until he left government service in 1983 for private practice when he formed his own firm. He was admitted to the Bar of the Court of Appeals, District of Columbia in 1980 and to the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Maryland in 1990. Haber's and the firm's practice have included a variety of areas of law. Haber and the firm have undertaken administrative, criminal and civil consultation, negotiation and litigation on behalf of the firm's clients. Haber has appeared before and assisted clients in matters and actions concerning a variety of federal and state agencies involving various aspects of health care, professional licensing, DEA registration, government contracting and administrative, sanction and compliance matters. Haber and the firm have assisted various clients concerning physician/hospital relations and privileges, antitrust, civil rights, racketeering, qui tams, and other similar matters. Additionally, Mr. Haber has assisted clients concerning interstate disputes and business/corporate fraud. Haber seeks to identify which laws can be helpful to his clients and implement and apply those laws which can provide relief for his clients from their problems. In seeking such relief for his clients, Mr. Haber and his firm have gained extensive civil, criminal and administrative enforcement and defense experience; experience in investigative and audit activities; experience in a variety of administrative and regulatory matters; experience with multiple federal, state and private agencies and institutions.
