“BIG WIG” KDE OFFICIAL CHARGED WITH DUI | Kentucky Department of Education Associate Commissioner Kelly Foster is accused of driving under the influence in Montgomery County.

An arrest citation alleges Foster called herself a “big wig,” asked officers if they knew who she was and repeatedly told them to call Gov. Andy Beshear.

Foster allegedly told officers she had consumed several shots of vodka before driving home and refused field sobriety tests.

KDE declined to comment. Foster is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 24.

We represented Peter many years ago and immediately knew that this was a good young man who had just made some bad decisions on one day. He will always live with a painful memory of what happened that day, but he is a living example of how giving others a second chance really is important. The story done by WNKY is worth reading and watching. I will try to get a link to his run so that you can see him run through Bowling Green on his trek across the state and donate to his foundation that helps children participate in sports.

This type of scam is becoming more and more common and people are being taken for thousands of dollars. I know of two or three cases personally where people have paid money to a scammer thinking they were posting bond. This has happened not only in Simpson County, but in other counties, including Warren County. The jail will never call a family member about posting bond. If you get a call like that, it is a scam.

There is probably nothing scarier than being falsely accused of a crime. Even more so, a crime against a child. As an attorney it is gut wrenching work.

For the last two days Blake Beliles has fought for justice for one of his clients in the Butler Circuit Court. That justice came late yesterday afternoon in a verdict of NOT GUILTY!

Congratulations on a great win for your client. And, yes people do get falsely accused!
