SOUTHERN KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF PARALEGALS
(“SKAP”)
The Southern Kentucky Association of Paralegals was formed in August 2013 and adopted the Kentucky Paralegal Association’s Professional Standards of Conduct. The Southern Kentucky Association of Paralegals will strive to provide support, guidance, and networking for its members and to further serve as a forum to exchange ideas, opinions, and c
oncerns for paralegals in the Southern Kentucky area. SKAP’s goals are as follows:
• To establish good fellowship among its members and members of the legal community;
• To promote a high level of ethical and professional attainment of the members;
• To encourage continuing education and promote training opportunities among members of the profession;
• To cooperate with state and local bar associations and the Kentucky Paralegal Association;
• To encourage the expanded use of paralegals in the legal profession;
• To increase the awareness of the public, the judiciary system, and the legal community of the scope of paralegal responsibilities; and,
• To support and carry out the programs, purposes, aims and goals of Southern Kentucky Association of Paralegals and the Kentucky Paralegal Association. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month with social hour starting at 5:30 p.m. and business meeting to follow at approximately 6:00 p.m. Please contact any officer for additional information:
