🎄❤️ MONTAGUE COUNTY, WE REALLY NEED YOU! ❤️🎄

Y’all, I need our community to hear me on this one.

We have officially had OVER 50 FAMILIES apply for Christmas assistance through the Bowie Community Christmas Assistance Program (AKA Bowie Angel Tree Project)!

And so far, we have ONLY 4 FAMILIES WITH SPONSORSHIPS!

That means we still have a LOT of families counting on us to help make Christmas happen this year.

I know times are tough. I know groceries are expensive, bills keep coming, and everyone is trying to make ends meet. But imagine being a parent wondering how you’re going to put presents under the tree for your children on Christmas morning.

These aren’t just applications. These are REAL families. REAL children. Our neighbors. Our community.

And I refuse to believe that a county with as much heart as Montague County can’t come together and make something extraordinary happen.

❤️ You can sponsor an entire family.

🎁 You can sponsor just ONE child.

🎄 You can team up with friends, coworkers, your church, or your business to sponsor a family together.

You don’t have to be wealthy to make a difference. You just have to be willing.

We don’t need 50 people to do everything. We need a community of people willing to do SOMETHING.

Last year, we saw what happens when people come together with love and compassion. This year, I want us to do even more.

Every year we see boxes arrive crushed, dented, and destroyed. Not because of the carrier. Because of what was (or wasn't) inside them. A FRAGILE sticker won't save your grandkid's Christmas gift if it's rattling around in an undersized box with no cushioning.

Here's what actually protects your items:

🎄 BOWIE ANGEL TREE 2026 🎄

Bowie, it’s almost time.

Angel Tree applications will officially open on October 11 for local families who may need a little extra help making Christmas special for their children this year.

If your family is struggling, please know this program is here to help with dignity, compassion, and absolutely no judgment. Life can change fast, and sometimes we all need our community to stand beside us.

Applications will open October 11, and more information, including the application link, eligibility details, deadlines, and gift pickup information, will be shared soon.

Please help us spread the word so the families who truly need this resource have the opportunity to apply.

And to the businesses, churches, organizations, volunteers, and individuals who are already asking how they can help — your time is coming too. We are going to need this entire community to make Christmas happen for these kids.

Bowie has always known how to show up for its own.
