Hey all business owners, if you haven't heard about your BRAND NEW REPORTING requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act that will go into effect January 1, 2024, please contact your attorney soon.

These reporting requirements are onerous, and complex, and will be a real pain in the ass.

Once again, and in service to alleged security, we've allowed our agency form of government the power to invade our lives, add crazy reporting rules, and even more complexity to a labyrinthine business environment.

It's always the grifters and exploiters who do sh*t that make the system have to create new rules. So for those who eschew the extreme regulatory features of our government, look around and ask, "Well, who's the jerk who did the thing that made the rule necessary?"

Due to the expansion of COVID-19, we will begin to offer online estate planning for select clients--using video technology to get planning in place asap. The firm will prioritize elders over 60 and those with underlying health conditions.

Please contact the office to set up an initial check-in call of up to 30 minutes if you're feeling the urgent need to get plans in place.

Remember: estate planning is not just about "getting a Will done". An estate plan is a whole life emergency plan that includes Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, as well as healthcare documents that are needed in times of health crisis. If you haven't done your planning yet, let this be a good time to do what is needed.

If you have a plan in place, take a look at it to make sure it still reflects your desires and that the agents and fiduciaries you've named are still appropriate for your current needs.
