The MassHousing grant program is offering up to $50,000.00 for first time buyers. It’s a game changing new grant program for first time home buyers.

The new "Mass Dreams" program will be officially launched though MassHousing on September 12th. It provides a $50,000 grant to first time home buyers up to 100% Area Median Income, and $35,000 for up to 135% AMI, so a significant number of Massachusetts buyers will qualify! It’s a true grant, and is essentially Free money, derived from left over Federal Covid relief funds.
***No re-payment is required, even on re-sale!
Requirements:
*Needs to be a first time home buyer.
*It can be Conventional or FHA.
*It needs to be the borrower's primary residence.
*It can be combined with MassHousing Down-payment assistance.
*They can buy anywhere in the State of Massachusetts, provided they are CURRENTLY living in one the communities deemed to have been "disproportionately impacted by Covid."
The list of eligible cities and towns includes:
Boston (all neighborhoods), Attleboro, Barnstable, Brockton, Chelsea, Chicopee, Everett, Fall River, Fitchburg, Framingham, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Leominster, Lowell, Lynn, Malden, Methuen, New Bedford, Peabody, Pittsfield, Quincy, Randolph, Revere, Salem, Springfield, Taunton, Westfield, & Worcester.
