Before rings were exchanged, couples were bound by something even older — a promise woven in cord and intention.

Handfasting is an ancient Celtic tradition dating back thousands of years, where a couple’s hands are gently tied together with ribbons or rope during their ceremony. The binding symbolizes two lives, two paths, and two spirits being joined as one. In fact, the phrase “tying the knot” comes directly from this ritual.

Each strand carries meaning — strength, unity, protection, love, and the shared journey ahead. As our hands were wrapped together, it wasn’t about being bound, but about choosing connection… choosing partnership… choosing each other, freely and fully.

For us, this rope represents more than a moment in our ceremony. It holds the promises we made, the energy of everyone who stood beside us, and the beginning of a new chapter woven together — strand by strand.

A tradition older than time, now part of our story forever. 🤍

To all of our family and friends — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making the journey to Vieques to celebrate with us. 🌊✨

The fact that you traveled across miles of ocean, busy lives, and full schedules to be there with us means more to us than we could ever possibly put into words. You didn’t just attend a wedding — you helped create an experience we will carry with us forever.

A week filled with sunsets and laughter, tears and joy,  to shared meals, dancing, and quiet moments by the water, every memory was made more meaningful because you were part of it. Vieques will always hold a special place in our hearts, not just for its beauty, but because it became the place where our favorite people came together as one family.

Thank you for your love, your energy, your support, and for celebrating this new chapter with us. We felt surrounded by joy every single moment — and that is because of you.
