At the beginning of 2026, we predicted that Medicare Part C Fraud would remain one of the leading areas of False Claims Act enforcement this year. Nine months and nearly $1.3 billion later, that prediction has been borne out.

We’re pleased to welcome Augustine (Augie) Ripa to Whistleblower Law Collaborative as our newest partner! ⚖️

Augie joins WLC following 12 years at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he served as Senior Counsel for Health Care Fraud in the Civil Fraud Section. During his time at DOJ, he investigated and prosecuted dozens of False Claims Act matters involving complex health care fraud schemes, helping recover more than $2 billion for the government.

Augie brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical pricing, Medicaid rebate fraud, kickback schemes, and other False Claims Act matters—and a deep understanding of how the government investigates and prosecutes these cases.

We’re excited to have Augie bring that experience to WLC and to our work representing whistleblowers nationwide. Please join us in welcoming him to the team!
