We like to treat every listing as if it were our own. That was not hard in this case because after 18 wonderful years, I’ve decided to sell my very first home. It was my first investment- just 6 months out of college, I applied for what is now known as a “no doc “ loan, and sure enough the bank approved me for $300k. I landed this 2bed in Southie, asked a friend if he would rent the 2nd bedroom (for $800/mo), and that’s how it all started.

As with every investment, luck is a key ingredient. Shortly after I survived the Great Recession, I learned about a cash out refi, and successfully pulled out equity four different times over the next decade. Each time, I would purchase a new investment property.

Columbia Rd is a wonderful home, a great investment, and an experience I will always cherish.
