New England Law Boston Visiting Professor of Practice Dan Dolan recently spoke with NBC10 Boston about the legal considerations surrounding deadlocked juries and potential retrials.
"I think often it's people having different views of the evidence or having different ideas on how to apply the law to the evidence," Dolan added.
"Sometimes emotions come into play. And a case like the Clancy case, emotions are certainly probably in the forefront of people's thoughts."
