Today, we’re looking at two important metrics: Year To Date Sold Properties and the Year To Date Average Sale Price:

📋 Year To Date Sold Properties:
Currently at 23,375
⬆️ Up 0.92% from last year
⬇️ Down 32.80% compared to five years ago

💰 Average Year To Date Sale Price:
Currently $861,152
⬆️ Up 11.24% from last year
⬆️ Up an impressive 34.00% compared to five years ago

What’s the relationship?
While the number of properties sold this year is only slightly up from last year, it reflects a modest increase in inventory. However, the significant drop compared to five years ago shows that overall market activity has slowed over a longer period, likely due to tighter inventory.

Despite fewer properties sold compared to five years ago, the Average Sale Price continues to climb significantly. This suggests that demand is still strong, and the limited inventory is driving up prices. For buyers, this means they’re likely competing in a market where prices are higher, while sellers may benefit from these increased values.

Such a tragic loss…

Anita Yuk-Ying Mui, a REALTOR®, was targeted and then murdered.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time members of the real estate community have been targeted and fallen victim.

We will ask you for a copy of a government issued ID and proof of qualification prior to any type of meeting. No exceptions.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

The charred remains of a woman found north of Parry Sound have been identified as that a missing Markham real estate agent.
