Scott Swanson, of Shaver & Swanson, LLP, in conjunction with co-counsel, wins award of attorney fees of $131,542.07 for client in patent defendant. The firm had previously won a summary judgment that one of the opposition's patents was invalid and the second not infringed by the client. The defense was undertaken against the firm of Knobbe Martins, one of the largest intellectual property firms in the country. Read the rulings here:
