Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and it is an opportunity to say thank you to the men and women who serve our communities with integrity, courage, and compassion.

We are grateful for the dedicated service of the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, Franklinton Police Department - Louisiana, Bogalusa Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Probation and Parole, Angie Police Department, Varnado Police Department, and Bogue Chitto State Park Rangers. Their officers work tirelessly - often behind the scenes - to protect our families, support our neighborhoods, and uphold the rule of law.

Their commitment makes a real difference in the lives of those who call Washington Parish home. We are proud to stand in support of law enforcement today and every day.

Happy New Year from all of to all of you! Our office will close early on December 31st and reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Boo Bash was a great success! Thank you to our wonderful staff for all the hard work to pull this off! Special thanks to BPD Detective Casey Hidalgo for helping to wrangle the crowd. Everyone had a fun time, and we look forward to next year being even bigger and better.
