Many seniors look around in their sixties, seventies, or beyond and realize that the home that they live in is too big, full of clutter, expensive to live in, tiring to take care of, or isolated. The solution to these problems is often to downsize by moving to a smaller home, moving in with a relative, or moving into some kind of residential community designed for seniors. The thought of starting over in a new location can be overwhelming, however. Some seniors and their families find it incredibly difficult to begin the process. This guide can assist you in finding the best option for your needs. https://bit.ly/3dnDCeq

This day commemorates the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777. Since 1777, the design of the flag has been officially modified 26 times. For 47 years, the 48-star flag was in effect. In 1959, the 49-star version became official on July 4. President Eisenhower ordered the 50-star flag on August 21, 1959. The 50-star American flag was designed by a 17 year old. #NationalFlagDay

06/11/2020

The Class of 2020's senior year started full of anticipation and expectations. It certainly didn't end up the way students or parents were hoping. Disappointment seems to be the overwhelming feeling -- disappointment for the opportunities and experiences they have missed out on. While I would certainly not want to go back and repeat the past 3 months, there are some really important life lessons we've learned from the COVID19 Quarantine:⠀
1. When it comes to uncertainty and change, we may not be able to control the outcome, but we can control our response to it. Life isn't always going to turn out the way we want it to.⠀
2. We've learned to adapt to how things are. Uncertainty can be healthy activating our "fight or flight" response and giving us a jolt of energy to take action.⠀
4. Making the best of a situation rather than focusing on all the ways things have and could have gone wrong.⠀
5. Kindness⠀
6. Resiliency⠀
7. Empathy and Compassion⠀
8. Perseverance⠀
9. Understanding⠀
10. When it comes to key life moment's, the digital world is no substitute for being there. Human interaction, friendships and social relationships are things to be cherished and appreciated.⠀

"Don't let today's disappointment cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams."⠀

Congrats to the Class of 2020!

It's National Donald Duck Day! Donald Duck made his cartoon debut in “The Wise Little Hen” back in the summer of 1934. But he wouldn’t meet Mickey Mouse until his second appearance in “Orphan’s Benefit” later that year. From there, it wasn’t long before Daisy Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie were introduced. You can’t replace his grumpy, nearly incomprehensible charm, and it’s why the Donald has been in more movies (200+) than any Disney character. He co-hosted the Oscars in 1958 with a little help from Bob Hope, Jack Lemmon, and Jimmy Stewart. Oh, and they named an asteroid after him in 1995. If that doesn’t convince you he’s a force of nature, know that he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. #DonaldDuck ⠀

So many people helped in so many ways. They donated food, baskets for the raffles, time, volunteering time to work at the bingo, businesses that sponsored games or donated items and food, attended the bingo or bought tickets knowing they were unable to attend, the list goes on. Our sincerest gratitude ❤️❤️
