Friday, September 13, 2024 the Bare Assets Jazz Band have been asked to play for the 50th anniversary of the Michigan State Bar Family Law Section's annual dinner at the Royal Park Hotel, Rochester, MI. It will be the 25th anniversary of the band's first gig in 1999 and the first since we lost our beloved sax player, John Mills, who passed away several years ago. The Michigan Supreme Court has expanded the "Equitable Parent Doctrine" to now include gay parents of children, which Michael Robbins and I first created in the Atkinson v Atkinson case in 1986/87. The Michigan Supreme Court clarified how courts should determine shared parenting rights in certain gay couple custody disputes.

Menu is better than ever with the addition of Pepino’s specialties as well as Mark Zarkin‘s fabulous Italian cuisine.
