Dolly Parton once built a career singing about working "9 to 5."
But behind the rhinestones was also a remarkably successful businesswoman who spent decades building a legacy.
This week, the world is remembering the music. Estate-planning attorneys notice something else, too:

Her husband predeceased her. She had no children. Yet the businesses, creative works and charitable causes she spent a lifetime building can continue beyond her lifetime.
That's what thoughtful estate planning can accomplish.
You may not have Dollywood.
But maybe you have a cottage everyone loves.
A family business you worked 30 years to build.
Property that's been in the family for generations.
A charity or church you want to remember.
A beloved pet that will need someone to care for it.
Or simply people you love and don't want left trying to figure everything out.

That may be one of Dolly's quieter legaciesโand one worth remembering.
