Please join us in congratulating Ciara Woodlee on completion of her juris doctorate! 🥳

Ciara started work at our firm as a high school intern and has continued as a valued member of our team for nearly a decade. For the last 3 years, she has worked incredibly hard, excelling in her studies, in trial competitions, and in extracurricular projects at Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. It has been such a joy to watch Ciara’s path to this incredible milestone.

We are also thrilled to announce that Ciara Woodlee, Esquire, will be returning home in the fall to assume her new role as associate attorney at Sneed & Stearns, PA, with a focus on estate planning and business formation and management.

Congratulations, Ciara. We are all so incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished!

The Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program is a centralized housing rehabilitation, reconstruction or replacement program for citizens impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Kelly has been absolutely instrumental in our ability to provide free legal services to survivors of Hurricane Helene. Her compassion, spirit of service, and attention to detail have helped dozens of families navigate overwhelming systems and start rebuilding their lives. This award is so well deserve and we are beyond proud to have Kelly on our team!

Due to the prolonged and extreme impacts of Hurricane Helene, the IRS has once again extended certain tax filing deadlines. Affected individuals and business will have until Sept 25, 2025, to file returns and pay any taxes originally due from Sept 24, 2024 - Sept 25, 2025. Check the bulletin for more information.

NC-2025-01, April 17, 2025 — Due to the lingering effects of Hurricane Helene, the IRS today further postponed until Sept. 25, 2025, a wide range of tax deadlines for taxpayers throughout North Carolina. Previously, the deadline had been May 1, 2025, for Form 1040 filers, among many others.
