25 YEARS…… I remember it like yesterday. Where I was, how I found out, watching the live footage on the news, walking outside my office building in Morgantown, WV and
Seeing the F-16s circling in the sky because it was just south of the Pennsylvania crash site.

Today we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, the brave first responders who ran toward danger, the men and women who gave their lives, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day.

We also remember the resilience of a nation that stood together in the face of unimaginable tragedy. The courage, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day and in the days, weeks, and years that followed are a testament to the best of who we are as Americans.

May we never forget their sacrifice.

Hey Neighbors, Welcome back to Myth Busters with Jay. Where we separate legal fact from legal fiction—one myth at a time.

Today’s topic: ‘If police don’t read you your rights, your case gets thrown out.’

Miranda rights generally apply when a person is both in custody and being interrogated.

If Miranda warnings should have been given and weren’t, certain statements may be excluded from evidence.
But that doesn’t automatically mean the entire case disappears.
The prosecution may still have other evidence that can be used.

Television has convinced a lot of people that Miranda violations end cases instantly.
Real life is usually more complicated than that.
So today’s topic of If police don’t read you your rights, your case gets thrown out. That’s a big fat MYTH!

t's time for the family one hour challenge! Hey Neighbors, I'm out here at Montgomery Whiterwatertoday and man is this place an absolute blast!

Back to school is here, and that means it’s time to get back into routines. Early mornings, homework, practices, dinner, baths, and hopefully… bedtime!

But here’s something I want to challenge every parent to do this school year.

Put the phones down. Turn off the tablets. Shut off the TV. And give your kids one hour every day or at least several times a week of completely screen-free family time.

Play a board game. Go outside. Take a walk. Ride bikes. Throw a football. Come out somewhere like Montgomery Whitewater and do something fun together.

Because parental engagement isn’t just about being in the same room with our kids. It’s about being present.

Our kids may not remember every homework assignment, every practice, or every dinner—but they’ll remember the time we spent laughing, playing, talking, and making memories with them.

So here’s my challenge: One hour. No screens. Just family.

Put the phones down and pick your kids up… because childhood doesn’t come with a rewind button.

🔥 Yes, it’s HOT outside.
🥵 Yes, you’ve got a million things going on.
🗳️ But voting is one of our most basic civic responsibilities.

And right now, voter turnout is extremely low.

Think about this: you can walk into your polling place, check in, bubble in ONE circle, and be back on your way in less than five minutes.

Five minutes.

That’s less time than most of us spend scrolling Facebook, waiting in a drive-thru, or deciding what to watch tonight.

Your vote is your voice. Your civic duty. Your opportunity to have a say in who represents you and your community.

So grab some water, crank up the A/C when you get back in the car, and GO VOTE. 🇺🇸

Don’t assume other people will do it.

Today’s question: Can everything on social media be used in court.

Photos, videos, posts, comments, private messages, and even deleted content can sometimes become evidence IF they’re relevant to a case.

But simply because something exists online doesn’t automatically mean it will be admitted in court.

Courts still require evidence to meet certain legal standards before it can be considered.

The bigger lesson here is,
Assume anything you post online could eventually be seen by a judge, jury, employer, spouse, opposing attorney, or even your pastor.

Social media has become one of the most common sources of evidence in modern litigation.

So today’s topic… Myth or Fact? Well today’s myth is… mostly fact.
