Here is a little more information about us:
Our firm was founded by an attorney whose father suffered and passed away from an asbestos-related disease. He began this practice in the 1990s in Alabama with one goal in mind, to help other people who develop asbestos-related diseases years after their initial exposure.
ELG was among the first law firms dedicated to helping people injured by asbestos. We represented local industrial plant workers and navy personnel that suffered exposure to asbestos unknowingly. We filed thousands of cases in court, won numerous judgments, and obtained many more settlements.
Since then, many of the asbestos product manufacturing companies have filed for bankruptcy protection and established asbestos bankruptcy trusts. We specialize in those claims. However, we also litigate cases when they are feasible.
Our focus is on people diagnosed with immediately eligible asbestos-caused diseases (lung cancer, bronchial cancer, mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, throat cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer) because we can help you file trust fund claims straight away.
We can also help you if you've been diagnosed with non-cancerous asbestos-related diseases. However, to determine your eligibility to file asbestos trust fund claims, you will need to undergo further testing. For free of charge asbestos screening and medical evaluation, you can travel to our Birmingham, AL location.
We also represent people in toxic tort matters including, but not limited to AFFF, PCBs, Monsanto's Roundup, talcum powder, or CERCLA exposure.
Our principal attorney, Gregory Cade, worked with our law firm's founder and learned everything from him. Having studied industrial hygiene alongside his law degree, enabled him to understand the toxicology and health effects of toxic substances on humans. It also helped him successfully litigate cases in court or settle against a multitude of defendant companies.
At ELG, we have a desire to help you. Beginning with getting to know you and your case. We provide a free consult for every potential client and do our best to ensure you receive the highest amount of compensation for your injuries. If you suffer from a serious disease, we'll also make sure that your family is taken care of.
We do not take any payment until we successfully collect compensation for you. If we do not collect compensation, you do not have to pay anything out of pocket.
