Yawanna McDonald, a partner at Campbell Partners, LLC in Birmingham, focuses her practice on Business Torts, Corporate Litigation, and Estate and Probate Litigation. Yawanna’s representation includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Yawanna worked in environmental consulting as a project scientist. Although she enjoyed her work as a scientist, she always knew that she had a calling for practicing law.
“I had always been intrigued by the prospects of a law career, but wanted to get some work and life experience first,” she said. So she decided to take the leap of faith and go to law school. Already married and with two small children, Yawanna enrolled at Samford University’s Cumberland Law School in Birmingham. Graduating in 2013, she easily passed her Alabama Bar exam.
Yawanna is an avid supporter and volunteer in her community. Whether through leading a Girls Scout Troop or volunteering with other non-profits, she attempts to make an impact by assisting others. She is an advocate and supporter of YWCA Central Alabama, where she serves as President of the Junior Board.
Above all else, Yawanna loves being a wife and mother. And if you’re looking for her on any given weekend, she says you’ll find her attending some kid’s sporting event!

What is our campaign all about? It's how we highlight all the ways Alabama’s attorneys impact lives within and outside of their profession. Alabama's lawyers are parents, volunteers, mentors, coaches, musicians and committed advocates. In all of these roles, they make a difference in their community. If we don't share our own stories, no one else will. Share your story with us by sending us a message, and we'll follow up with you!
