When asked about the most important thing in his office, David Nomberg first thought of a photo of his wife and daughters.
Because, of course, they are the most important thing in his life.

But in his work office, the answer was different: his certificate of admission to the Alabama State Bar.

For David, it represents more than a credential. It represents the opportunity to do meaningful work, help injured workers, and serve people during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Your doctor can’t fully understand your work restrictions if they don’t fully understand your job.

In this video, Bernard Nomberg explains why injured workers should give their authorized treating physician a complete picture of their work duties — not just their job title. The more specific you are about what your work actually requires, the better your doctor can evaluate how your injury affects your ability to return to work.

Injured at work — but your employer has fewer than 5 employees?

In Alabama, that may mean workers’ comp coverage was not required. But it does not necessarily mean you are out of options.

Bernard Nomberg explains what injured workers should know when workers’ compensation may not be available.

On Friday, we said goodbye to Mary Clayton Dixon. MC interned with us during the school year. She was tasked with several important jobs and did a fantastic job for us. She has a bright future and we will miss her around the office. Here is what she had to say about her internship:

Over the past year, my internship at The Nomberg Law Firm has been one of the most meaningful parts of my senior year. I’ve learned so much about the legal system — not just in theory, but in practice. From corresponding with clients to communicating with legal personnel and seeing how a law firm operates day‑to‑day, this experience has strengthened my interest in pursuing law in the future.

This year also brought some exciting personal milestones. I was honored to receive the Alabama Scholastic Press Association’s Bailey Thomson Award for Editorial Writing as well as the J.B. Stevenson Scholarship, both of which mean so much to me as I prepare for my next chapter.

I’ll be graduating from Mountain Brook High School this month, and after a summer senior trip to France, I’ll be heading to High Point University in the fall. I’m thrilled for what’s ahead, but I’m equally grateful for the time I’ve spent with the Nomberg team — for everything they taught me, and for welcoming me so fully into their office.

Thank you for giving me a place to learn, grow, and explore a field I’ve truly fallen in love with!

We wish you all the best Mary Clayton!

Consistency matters after a work injury.

Making your scheduled appointments, following your treatment plan, and avoiding unexplained gaps in care can all affect how your workers’ comp claim is viewed.

Bernard Nomberg explains why consistent medical care is not just important for your health — it can also help protect your credibility.
