Voting is one of our MOST important rights - it is our chance to express what matters to us the most and to decide who will represent us in the government and on the judiciary. Well-informed and engaged voters are vital to our Democracy, and we encourage our followers to share these candidate profiles with your friends, colleagues, neighbors and family.

HEADS UP BROOME COUNTY! Mandatory 10-digit dialing becomes effective for all telephone customers beginning October 24, 2021. You must dial 10-digits (area code + telephone number) for ALL calls, including local calls.

IMPORTANT: Safety and security equipment such as medical alert devices, and alarm and security systems must be programmed to use 10-digit dialing. Please contact your medical alert or security provider with any questions or concerns relating to your devices. Any needed reprogramming of alarm and home security equipment must be done before October 24, 2021 to avoid interruption of services.

Attention Broome County residents: there is an Emergency Rental Assistance program to assist those who have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 and are at risk of homelessness or housing instability which will be launching on June 1st. Please contact the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to submit your application or with any questions at the number below or visit their website at https://otda.ny.gov/programs/Emergency-Rental-Assistance/
