For an 84-year-old Long Island resident, a routine traffic stop in Rensselaer County quickly escalated into a federal impersonation charge. Hoping to evade a ticket on May 22, Broomall allegedly presented a law enforcement badge and falsely identified himself as a retired FBI agent to troopers.
