This week after a two (2) day Jury Trial, we secured a NOT GUILTY on all Counts in the Wayne County Circuit Court.

Client was charged with two felony counts; 1) Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder or by Strangulation; and 2) Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault) the jury was out for over three (3) hours. We argured Self-Defense and Self-Defense of others.

Road Rage: The complainant was upset that my client was turning left from the wrong lane, cut him off, my client honked at him and then braked checked him, my client honked again, this guy then waited seven (7) seconds, and exited his car aggressively and started to walk up on my client with his hands near his waist. My client was with his 3 minor children and his wife. My client did not know this stranger and why he would get out of his car for being honked at. My client was in honest fear for his life and his family’s, he tried to go around him but could not and had to immobilize the threat without hesitation. Luckly he had a dash cam to disprove the complainants claim. My client told the police he thought this guy was going to pull out a gun. Watch the video and let me know your thoughts.

We argued the compliant was acitng in anger and my client was acting in fear.
