Professor Solomon will be interviewing Duc Trang -- managing director at Major, Lindsey & Africa -- about transactional lawyering and the legal job market. On Wednesday, BCLB’s Adam Sterling be interviewing Celcilia Ziniti -- the GC of a very hot EdTech startup (Lambda School).

Come meet members from two of Berkeley’s largest journals while also enjoying free food and drinks! BTLJ and BBLJ are hosting a joint happy hour at Tap Haus on Thursday, August 22, from 7-9pm - there will be snacks, beer/wine, and pool! BTLJ is the nation’s premiere technology law journal and is regularly cited by the Supreme Court. BBLJ is a top commercial law journal and the only student organization at Berkeley Law focused on business law. We'll be heading to Bar Review afterwards. We hope to see you there!

Meet Our New Senior Articles Editors Diler Cavdar, Julia Molo, and Artin Au-Yeung. The SAEs are responsible for the "Above the Line" editing and ensure that our pieces are well organized and ready to print.

Diler is from Queens, New York and went to New York University, She was previously a BBLJ Supervising Editor, and is an Academic Support Program Fellow and East Bay Dreamers Project Leader. This summer she will be working at Mayer Brown. But most importantly she was president of NYU's Ninja Club

Julia is from Chicago, IL and attended the University of Pennsylvania. This summer she will be a Davis Polk Summer Associate in the Northern California Office
Unlike the vast, vast majority of law students was a mathlete.

Artin is a local from South San Francisco and a Double Bear (with an interesting major combination of molecular and cellbiology and rhetoric). He was also previously a Supervising Editor for BBLJ. This summer he will be a Kirkland & Ellis Summer Associate Artin enjoys singing and playing the piano!

Now we have a twofer for all of you guys: Our New Development Editors Aaron Pressman and Clara Knapp.

The Development Editors are responsible for the education and mentorship of new members and ensuring journal cohesion.

Aaron is originally from the Bay Area and went to Oberlin College. This summer he'll be working at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office!

Clara is from Santa Rosa, California and Cal Poly: San Luis Obispo. This summer she'll be working in-house in the Bay Area. Sometimes I just eat plates of cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sounds like a fun time to us!

Looking forward to all that you'll do with the journal!

Well seems like Michael got a little extra time in the spotlight, but we are back to introduce his partner in crime. Rachel Wu will also be one of our Symposium Editors for Volume 17 (2019-2020)

She is from Cupertino, CA and attended UC Irvine for undergrad. She is a Berkeley Center for Law and Business Scholar, and will be serving as Social Chair for APALSA next year and External Affairs Editor for the Asian American Law Journal. She also studied abroad in London.
