A few months ago, I attended a Global Woman Club event here in Brussels on a whim. I left feeling genuinely moved. The room was filled with incredible women from all walks of life. There was so much talent, warmth, and a real desire to help and connect with one another. The space that Elsje Borms holds in these meetings is genuinely magical! ✨

I’m honored to be part of this community, and truly touched to have been interviewed for the Global Woman magazine. It gave me a beautiful chance to step back and reflect on the work I’m fortunate to be doing as an immigration attorney and law firm owner.

Many thanks to Global Woman Club and Mirela Sula for this wonderful opportunity and for building such a uniquely supportive community of women leaders and entrepreneurs!

Without providing any evidence, data, details or criteria for the decision, the State Department announced a pause on immigration visa processing from 75 countries whose migrants "take welfare from American people at unacceptable rates."

"This is concerning because these are people who are following lawful pathways established by Congress," said Deputy Legal Director in an interview with . "These are people who are trying to immigrate to reunite with family members, people who may be immigrating for jobs. There are employers here in the Bay Area who are very eager to be able to bring some of these individuals to fulfill work. "

Levine added that with the proposed closing of San Francisco's immigration court, this new visa suspension "will only add to backlogs, will make adjudication less efficient, and is intended, I believe, to keep people from having their fair day in court."
