No reason to go to a tax preparer that has people dancing on the side of the road or offers year around service but closes after April 15th.... when you can come see us! We are here year around, you can make an appointment or walk in and sit down with a QUALIFIED tax preparer. We provide all services including day to day accounting, Payroll, Quarterly Reports, Contractor License Applications, Financial Statements, Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps and Corps.

A.L. Wood & Associates Accounting is looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional person to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist!

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and can confidently manage a fast-paced front desk. Responsibilities will include:

☎️ Answering and directing phone calls
👋 Greeting clients and assisting with check-ins
📅 Scheduling appointments
📄 Receiving and organizing client documents
📧 Handling emails and general office communication
🗂️ Providing administrative support to our accounting team
✅ Keeping the reception area organized and running smoothly

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer-service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous receptionist or office experience is preferred.

Hours: M-Th 8:30-5 Fri 8:30-12 with adjusted hours during tax season

Going to give you a sneak peak… pharmacy is in their new space… but the out front and our office are still in renovations but hopefully within the next 2 weeks that should all settle down!

We are looking a member to join our team as a TAX PREPARER. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Accountant based in Benson, NC. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and conducting tax planning and analysis. The role also involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, and assisting with other accounting and tax-related projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to provide expert financial guidance and support.

Qualifications
MUST HAVE 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE preparing taxes
Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Experience in reviewing and analyzing Financial Statements
Strong skills in Accounting, including general ledger management and bookkeeping
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Effective communication and client relationship skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

Rumors are flying that there was an incident at Wood Pharmacy this morning….There has not been any issues! It is business as normal on our side of the town! Police said some type of AI report is being shared! Everyone is good and please don’t share in the rumors!
