Our chairman, Mike Hollern, was honored to serve on the advisory committee and gave the welcome remarks at the Schnitzer Prize of the West reception, held at the High Desert Museum. This year’s inaugural prize honors and recognizes the amazing individuals who have worked to improve the quality of life in the Western states. Congratulations to Brad Parry who received the $50,000 award in May 2026 for his leadership of the Wuda Ogwa Cultural and Land Restoration Project in Idaho. Special thanks to the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation.

To celebrate Arbor Day today, several of our Brooks Resources teammates helped plant 31 trees along NW Crossing Drive in an event coordinated by the City of Bend. It was fun to see how excited the 60 middle schoolers were about planting "their" trees, alongside City of Bend staff and other volunteers. 🌳🌳🌳
