Congratulations to the filmmakers of YOUTH v GOV Film which had its Central Oregon premiere at The 18th Annual BendFilm Festival, which wrapped up earlier this month.

Karnopp Petersen LLP was honored to sponsor this powerful documentary which took home the festival's BEST IN SHOW Award!

Directed by Christi Cooper, YOUTH V GOV documents the story of America’s youth taking on the world’s most powerful government. Armed with a wealth of evidence, twenty-one courageous leaders file a ground-breaking lawsuit against the U.S. government, asserting it has willfully acted over six decades to create the climate crisis, thus endangering their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property.

KARNOPP PETERSEN JOINS WITH BEST BEST & KRIEGER

Karnopp Petersen LLP is pleased to announce the firm will be merging with national law firm, Best Best & Krieger next year.

The merger, which will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2022, will provide both firms’ public and private sector clients with new resources, greater bench strength, and expanded geographical reach.

Announcing the Karnopp Petersen Donor Advised Fund Benefitting the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon

Since 1955, generations of Karnopp Petersen lawyers have been providing legal services to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs assisting to defend and enhance its sovereignty, treaty-reserved rights, and culture.
More recently, we have established a donor-advised fund with Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) benefitting the Tribes.

The purpose of the fund is two-fold. First, we aim to optimize the impact of the firm’s charitable giving to the Tribes. Second, we seek to attract charitable capital from others who wish to help the Tribe. We hope that our long-standing relationship with the Tribes, combined with OCF’s well-earned reputation in managing donor-advised funds will give our fund the endorsement for others who wish to give to the Tribes.

Our Fund focuses on education, leadership development, and cultural protection and enhancement; in short, we endeavor to invest in the people of The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs in support of their efforts to self-determine their future. Please consider joining us.

To launch the program, Karnopp Petersen invites the community to support its charitable fund with the Oregon Community Foundation and will match all donations made to the program up to $5,000.
