CHRISTMAS IN GUANAJUATO --- For Rent – Long Term or Short Term: (Available December 10, 2021.) A beautiful one bedroom (plus) fully furnished and very comfortable apartment in the Centro of Guanajuato, with a garden, patios and a rooftop terrace. Rent is $625.00 USD or $12,500.00 MXN per month with standard deposits. This includes all utilities except the propane ($25.00 per month) and the internet ($35.00 per month). There is a one-time cleaning fee of $35.00. Nightly rental for more than three days is possible with the price at $65.00 USD or $1,300.00 MXN per night, plus the cleaning fee and others TBD.
The Apartment is located at Calle San Isidro 13, Centro, Guanajuato, GTO. The apartment has a fantastic view and very nice amenities. There is good light in the apartment and sun in the gardens. There is a small front garden that looks towards the Centro and there is a large garden in the back that is a refuge in the heart of the city.
There is a queen sized semi-soft bed and there is a nice sofa in the living room that can become a second comfortable bed for temporary guests if needed. There is an open family room with the TV and a soft love seat. There is ample closet space. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, etc. The bathroom is very nice and the water heater works very well. The dining area is especially nice and easily seats six. The breakfast nook off the kitchen is very handy. There is a laundry room with a large washer. There is a handy propane heater for those chilly mornings. The patio off the laundry room is covered and an elegant and nice place to sit. A staircase leads easily to the rooftop azotea. The view from there is stunning.
San Isidro is a driving street so a taxi or Uber can drop you at your door. There is street parking. Long term protected and covered parking could be available off site. The garbage truck comes by almost every day. The water man and gas man come by every day. Shops for everything are nearby. Things are easy here.
The walk to the Baratillo or Plaza de la Paz or the University is easy and no more than five minutes. Calle San Isidro 13, the tall blue casa, is above the Baratillo. The easiest route up from Centro is from the University steps up the Calzada de Guadalupe and a cut-over on the little Callejon San Pedro. The direct route is up Carcamanes and a left turn at San Isidro. That gets a little steep, so the Calzada is preferred. There is also a little bus that goes up the Calzada from the University steps regularly. The beauty of the location of the apartment is that it is just far enough up to get away from the noise of El Centro, but close enough to make access easy.
I am more than happy to share all the secrets we have learned, such as the best little panaderias and fruterias, the bus routes, etc. We have come to know the neighbors and they are sweet people. It is a family place.
The internet is good. I do not subscribe to Mexican TV so bring a firestick. There is an HDMI cord to the TV so you can hook up to your laptop, too.
