Even here in Central Florida, I like to remind homeowners that a little preparation before the cold months can make a big difference!

Here are 7 things I recommend adding to your fall home maintenance checklist:

🏡 Insulate windows and doors to reduce drafts.
🔥 Have your heating system serviced before you need it.
🍂 Seal air leaks around windows, doors, and other openings.
🚰 Insulate exposed pipes to help protect against freezing temperatures.
🧹 Clean gutters and downspouts to prevent clogs.
🔥 Have your fireplace inspected before using it.
🌿 Disconnect garden hoses and protect outdoor faucets when needed.

I always encourage homeowners to stay proactive with property maintenance. Even though our Central Florida winters are usually mild, unexpected cold snaps can happen, and taking precautions early can help prevent unnecessary stress and repairs.
