John's University School of Law in the spring of 1994. He successfully passed the New York State Bar Exam at the first sitting, he was sworn in to the New York Bar on January 18, 1995. was founded on February 1, 1995. Mr. Farinella has represented over 8000 New York Consumers and Businesses. He is admitted in NY and DC. As the fourth son of six boys, Mr. Farinella is very understanding of the family unit and enjoys advising his clients and their families on a wide range of legal topics. Ryan Gentile, Esq., Associate, graduated from New York Law School in 2007. He has been with the Firm since April 2006 and now leads our NJ office location. During his tenure Ryan has represented several thousand clients in the areas of bankruptcy, loan modification, and helping consumers handle their debt collectors. He co-hosted “Your Legal Rights” alongside Gus Michael Farinella on WWRL 1600 am. Ryan is admitted to practice in various state and federal courts throughout NY & NJ. Supreet Parmar, Esq., Associate, joined our team in 2009 and has become a great asset to the firm. Her legal credentials span across bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosures, loan modifications, probate matters, and real estate law. Supreet is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi, allowing her to effectively serve a diverse clientele. She is admitted to practice in various state and federal courts throughout NY & NJ.

The federal bankruptcy law was overhauled significantly in 2005. The goal was get more bankruptcy filers into a Chapter 13 reorganization plan as opposed to Chapter 7 liquidation. The changes led to fewer bankruptcies for several years. However, that trend end by 2012, as total bankruptcies reached about 1.5 million for the year, with about 70 percent of individuals choosing Chapter 7.
