Took our dog, Doug, to Skillman Park and for saw this Public Hearing Notice and I slightly panicked. However, looks like they are looking to convert 1.2 acres of the park for a 2,730 sq ft maintenance building. I was worried it was going to be residential.

Would this mean Skillman Park will have public bathrooms? 🧐

It’s one of our favorite parks with great walking trails, a dog park, and even a nature trail by the creek. Oh and Village Elementary School (which was a surprise when we first moved here - I didn’t realize it was actually in the park).

So what’s going on with Montgomery Real Estate? The last few years we’ve all heard the news that homes are selling in one weekend, multiple offers, and over ask, but lately we felt the shift and here’s the numbers behind it.

Currently in Montgomery, there are 67 homes for sale. This is more inventory than we’ve had in the past few years. A balanced market is 6 months of supply and Montgomery is at 4.32 vs 1.94 this time last year. While we are still in a sellers market, this is an important shift to note when thinking of selling your home. There are still homes that sold in less than a week, but these are the ones that are priced right from beginning and presented well.

Montgomery is getting another bagel shop! This one will be opening in the new building being constructed at Village Walk, across from where the new PJ’s Pancake House is located. Looking at the website, Pop Up Bagels is known for their no frills bagels and their epic rotating schmears. No sandwiches, only bagels served fresh from the oven.

No opening date posted yet but will you be trying it?

Or are you loyal to the two bagel places already in Montgomery - Baba’s Bagels and Bagel Barn?

🥞 PJ’s Pancake House has an official opening date in Montgomery! August 24!

I recently stopped by PJ Pancake House for the ribbon cutting celebrating the opening on Village Road, and got a little sneak peek as a member of the Montgomery Economic Development Commission.

This opening has been a long time coming, and the town is excited! It’s always great to see a new local business choose Montgomery — especially one that gives the community another local place to grab breakfast, meet up, and enjoy something delicious.

One of my favorite parts of being a Realtor® (and just being local here in Montgomery) is staying connected to what’s happening around town — new businesses, events, and all the little things that make this such a great place to live.

With the anticipated opening of Whole Foods at the Montgomery Promenade on August 21, there are now some new loop roads designed to help with traffic around the area. 🚗

While some people aren’t quite convinced they’ll make a difference, only time will tell! The roads are now open, so we’ll all have to get used to the new traffic patterns.

Today was the ribbon cutting for Nevius Blvd, which connects Route 206 to Route 518 through the Whole Foods plaza, and Village Drive, which connects Route 518 to Route 206 through the Starbucks/Wells Fargo area.

I was there on behalf of the Montgomery Economic Development Commission to celebrate this exciting milestone for Montgomery Township. It’s always exciting to see our community grow and evolve!
