Sad. A grandfather, his niece and two grandkids were killed at 11:30pm when their golf cart got hit by a drunk driver. I’m working on a golf cart case right now where people were seriously injured when their golf cart got hit by a drunk driver. Golf carts are not designed for use on public roads.

The Texas Supreme Court ruled in our favor in the case of Gonski v. Lenoir after oral argument and remanded the case to the trial court for further proceedings.

In this case, an unsupervised second year medical resident gave Shana Lenoir an injection to prevent pre-term labor that was contraindicated, medically unnecessary and experimental because she was 8 months pregnant with twins. The injection caused an allergic reaction that killed Shana and her unborn twins. The resident, Leah Anne Gonski, tried to claim governmental immunity which the Court denied.

The Texas Supreme Court denied a petition for review in Dabbs v. Calderon. Thus, the Court of Appeals decision stands and the trial court's judgment is affirmed. The Gourrier Law Firm is proud to have represented Vincent Calderon and we look forward to collecting the judgment.

After my oral argument before the 1st Court of Appeals, the court has denied UT Physicians' motion for rehearing and issued a new opinion affirming it's earlier ruling that UT Physicians is NOT a governmental unit entitled to assert governmental immunity.

The Gourrier Law Firm continues to seek justice for Shana Lenoir and her unborn twins who died after a medically unnecessary and contraindicated injection ordered by an unsupervised 2nd year resident and improperly administered by a UT Physicians' nurse.
