🍎🍑 THIS might be one of my favorite little windows of the year in New Hampshire!
Early September gives us the best of BOTH seasons. Summer isn't quite finished, Fall is starting to sneak in...and our local farms are overflowing with options! Depending on Mother Nature's cooperation, you can still find late peaches and raspberries while the early apples are ready for picking.

A few local favorites to put on your list:

🍎 Applecrest Farm Orchards | Hampton Falls — apples, peaches, raspberries, cider donuts and all the quintessential NH farm goodness steeped in history.

🍑 Sunnycrest Farm | Londonderry — a hometown favorite with apples, late raspberries, peaches and plenty of treats at the farm stand.

🍏 Mack's Apples | Londonderry — one of those classic NH traditions that just feels like September.

🍑 Brookdale Fruit Farm | Hollis — another NH classic, with generations of history and an incredible variety of locally grown fruit.

🍎 And yes, I'm giving an honorary mention to Parlee Farms in Tyngsborough because it's just over the border and too sweet to skip. 😉

Grab the kids, pick a peck, eat at least one cider donut too many...and enjoy it. This is one of those very New Hampshire things that makes me love where we live. 💕

Picking changes quickly this time of year, so always check with the farm before you head out! ✔

📚✏️ And just like that…NH is BACK TO SCHOOL! 🚌

The backpacks are packed, alarms are being set way too early, and our morning commutes are about to get a little more interesting. 😉

As everyone settles back into the routine, a little reminder: slow down, watch for those flashing bus lights, and give everyone a little extra patience on the road. There are excited kids, nervous kids, sleepy teenagers, frazzled parents and brand-new drivers all sharing the road again. 💕

Just about the entire state heads back to school this week, so give yourself an extra few minutes, take it slow & help get everyone where they're going safely.

Is it just me, or is the back half of 2026 already flying by?! And you know what that means… the 2027 Colors of the Year are starting to make their debut. 🎨🏡

Valspar is first out of the gate with Cottage Blue - a gorgeous, soft blue with just enough depth to feel fresh without being overly trendy. I can already picture this one on kitchen cabinets, a bathroom vanity, or bringing a little personality to a front door. 💙

I always love seeing where the color trends are headed, especially when they’re shades that can actually work beautifully in your home everyday.

Now we wait to see what the other paint companies have in store for 2027! 👀

It's National Dog Day! Rosie & Luke think that's preposterous, because in this house... EVERYDAY is dog day. 😉🏡🐶 A few more minutes on our walk & some extra treats is a great way to celebrate!

Some home features get all the attention. Gorgeous kitchens, spa bathrooms, big walk-in closets... 😍But after enough years of New Hampshire living, you learn to appreciate the spaces that actually make life easier. 😂

Give me somewhere to drop the boots, coats, backpacks, muddy paws and whatever else followed you through the door - then, I’m a happy lady! 😉 It may not be the room that makes you fall in love with a house, but when the cold weather arrives, you’ll be awfully glad your home has a mudroom.
