I watched this video of Jordan Peterson's (a clinical psychologist and educator) talk on his Book 12 Rules for life. Then I went down the rabbit hole of all things Jordan Peterson. I can't get enough. He is both loved and hated, called left wing and right wing at the same time. He hates post modernism, so I had the learn what that is. He believes in equality of opportunity but not equality of effect, so then I had to learn what that means. He loves Crime and Punishment, the Gulag Archipelago, Jung and to a lesser amount Freud, now I have to read those. He gives the science behind what he says and details his thought process in coming to his thoughts. Searching for the meaning of life? I am now spending less time on Netflix.

The 360th District Family Court announced procedures for video hearings.

Due to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Tarrant County Family Court Services Visitation Center will be closed for exchanges and visitation beginning this coming weekend and resuming April 17. They will not be able to handle makeup visits.

On Friday, March 13, 2020, the Texas Supreme Court issued an emergency order that provides for safety for court personel, juries and the public. It mandates, among other things, for courts to allow video conferencing. It also allows for the extension of deadlines, conducting court away from the courthouse and other provisions for the safety of our communities. Aside from the common actions such as washing hands and disinfecting things that are touched in the office, we also encouraging the option to have video conferences rather than require in office visits.
