Whew! What a year this has been. The pandemic curtailed face-to-face meetings. Lots of Zoom time!!

Some quick updates on the end of 2018 and 2019 before quarantine began.
In addition to the jobs listed below in early 2019 Lazenby& Associates concluded its pro bono representation of the young women at the heart of the MAX attacks. We helped them through the grand jury process and explored civil remedies for them.

Lazenby& Associates also continued to work with clients who are in or want to be in the emerging h**p industry.

Lazenby & Associates just put the finishing touches on the final lease and operating agreements for Oregon Harbor of Hope. It is a pioneering approach to helping the houseless get off the street..

The Harbor of Hope River District Navigation Center was the brainchild of developer Homer Williams. He raised $1.5 million from Columbia Sportswear CEO Tim Boyle and other private donations to cover the $3.5 million construction costs for the giant tent-like structure.

Lazenby & Associates has been hired to assist Oregon Harbor of Hope structure and design the operating agreement for their signature project to address homelessness in Portland. The objective is to develop a transitional service center that will help homeless individuals transition out of homelessness. Happy to help out my old friends Homer Williams and Don Mazziotti !!

Lazenby & Associates just finished working with former Mayor Tom Potter's Chief of Staff Nancy Hamilton on a retreat for current Mayor Ted Wheeler's staff. We hope to continue to provide advice on better staff coordination and team building for this talented young energetic staff..

Enjoying a difficult project right now: working on Springwater Corridor-Homeless issues with the Oregon Consensus/Oregon Solutions team. Five governments have convened a collaborative process to come up with shared solutions. I did the assessment that got us here and am also facilitating the Public Safety work group. Tough issues are best handled by smart dedicated people working together.
