The ITechLaw 2026 European Conference opens next week, and there’s still time to register. Over three days at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, technology lawyers, in-house counsel, regulators and academics from around the world will tackle AI, data protection, global regulation and emerging technologies.

On Thursday evening, the conference moves to the Copenhagen Opera House for the Gala Reception & Dinner. The Gala requires a separate ticket, so be sure to add it when you register.

The ITechLaw Legal Tech Committee invites you to the “AI in Legal Practice: Global Adoption Trends and What’s Next in LegalTech” webinar, which examines the current state of artificial intelligence adoption in the legal profession from global and regional perspectives.

AI adoption in legal practice is accelerating, yet the pace, use cases, and challenges vary considerably across regions. Drawing on findings from the Global Report on AI in Legal Practice, insights gathered through recent ITechLaw conferences, and practical developments observed across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, our speakers will discuss how lawyers and legal organizations are actually using AI, what is driving or slowing adoption in different markets, and how the profession is moving from experimentation toward more systematic deployment.

Speakers:
Aprajita Rana, Partner at AZB & Partners (India), will provide the Asian perspective on AI training and deployment, agentic AI procurement, data localization, and AI governance across India and Asia.

Andrés Terán, Founding Partner at HEKA Law (Ecuador), will discuss the Latin American perspective on AI, data protection, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure, and how these developments affect legal practice in the region.

Diego Fernández will provide the South American perspective, focusing on market changes and shifts within legal organizations.

The session will conclude with a practical workshop led by Mathieu Bouillon, a Legal AI expert and prominent figure in the French LegalTech ecosystem who has trained more than 2,000 lawyers and legal professionals in AI. He will discuss the latest developments in LegalTech and Legal AI, what is changing in the technology available to lawyers, and which emerging approaches are likely to matter most in practice.
