What you should look for before hiring:
✔ A conversation with the actual attorney
✔ Clear explanation of their fee structure
✔ A written agreement you’ve had time to review
✔ No pressure to sign immediately
We’ve seen it happen more than once: someone is in a vulnerable position after getting hurt, they click a link, fill out a form, or respond to a message and suddenly another firm is claiming they’re that person’s attorney.
That’s not how it should work. You have the right to speak with an attorney and ask questions before you make any commitments. A click or an inquiry is not a contract.
If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct. You deserve a legal team that earns your trust, not one that locks you in before you’ve had a real conversation.
