This month is the first time I can say that in my ten years of practicing as a criminal defense attorney that I’ve had about 10 dismissals from the D.A.’s office for my clients that have been wrongly accused. It makes me feel like there is still hope in the justice system. Theory is very different from reality.

I had an 18 year-old as a client, my daughter’s age, who was charged with a felony and four misdemeanor charges involving drugs, a gun, and other serious crimes. I was able to get all four misdemeanors dismissed and the felony deferred so she can remove it from her record. I feel like I saved someone from a lifetime of struggle that comes with a conviction. I pray she stays on the right path.

Another huge success today. My client was wrongly convicted for an assault and I got his case dismissed. He was charged with a second degree felony and facing 20 years. He was an innocent man, a hard-working man with a wonderful family who had to endure the stress of trial settings, court appearances, and lost wages.

Another huge success yesterday. My client was charged with Aggravated Assault and was facing twenty years in prison. The jury found him NOT GUILTY.

Another success. My client was facing 3 2nd degree felonies and we reduced 2 to class B misdemeanors and 1 he received 4 years deferred where he can remove it from his record. Good considering he was facing 20 years on each count and he won't have to spend one day in jail.

The verdict is in on the DWI case I've been in trial for the last couple of days. NOT GUILTY!!! My client and I are both ecstatic!! Justice was properly served.
