Today is Law Day! Law Day is held on May 1st every year to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. The North Carolina Judicial Branch joins the American Bar Association and the nation in celebrating Law Day, the rule of law, and the importance of law in our democracy.

Celebrating and reflecting on Law Day is especially important this year during these extraordinary times.

The Law Day theme this year is “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100.”

Check out Law Day resources, along with other educational resources, on our Celebrate North Carolina Courts website: https://celebrate.nccourts.org/teachers
