We are excited to announce Long Law Firm Associate, Hannah Cobb will be serving as a co-chair for the 2026-2027 Class as an outstanding alumna of the 2025–2026 Class. Long Law Firm Associate, Maddie Diez Champney has also been selected as a member of the 2026-2027 Leadership LSBA Class.

Leadership LSBA provides exposure for young lawyers on how the LSBA functions as well as the pressing issues that face the Association and the legal profession. Long Law Firm is proud to support the pursuit of leadership skills and statewide networking through its longstanding engagement with Leadership LSBA.

Long Law Firm is hiring a medical records clerk/paralegal. Candidates should have knowledge and/or experience with medical terminology, strong communication, time management and organizational skills, proficiency in computer systems (Microsoft, etc.), initiative and willingness to work in a fast paced environment. The position is full time and in person. The compensation package includes a salary (depends on experience), paid time off and a robust offering of benefits. Legal experience is not required. LSU Law alumnus Mike Patterson (’71) will receive the 2025 Distinguished Attorney award from the Louisiana Bar Foundation tonight during the LBF Annual Gala. The Distinguished Attorney award recognizes an individual who has distinguished themself in the legal profession. Congratulations, Mike!

This past weekend Long Law Firm participated in the annual Belly up with the Bar, hosted by the Baton Rouge Bar Association. This event not only provided an incredible opportunity to spend time with our colleagues in the Baton Rouge legal community, but it also raised nearly $40,000 for the Bar Foundation’s youth education programs.

This year, we were honored to take home the awards for Best Grub 2nd Place for our deconstructed pulled pork sandwich and Best Cocktail for our vodka infused dill pickle brine shot. A huge thank you to all our team members, and a special shoutout to Valerie and Trey Bargas of Honey’s of LA for taking our food and drink to the next level.

We cannot wait to be back again next year for a great event and a great cause.
