📢 Important Payment Update

Due to new Louisiana law, we no longer accept debit cards — Running it as “credit” is NOT a workaround — the machine still knows it is a debit card. The card processing companies charge us fees on debit transactions that are often higher than what the state law allows us to charge for our services, so we simply cannot absorb the cost.

We have had several customers still hand us a debit card after we’ve explained this. We face fines up to $500 per transaction for charging a fee to use a debit card, even if it is run as credit.

So, please do not hand us a debit card at all. We accept CREDIT cards and cash, Thanks so much for understanding — this helps us keep serving you well! 😊

As of August 1st, we will only accept CASH and CREDIT CARDS, no debit cards. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience that this will cause so many of our wonderful customers. It is not our preference to make this change, but with our fees being capped by law and the sheer dollar amounts of the transactions we perform for the collection of state taxes, the math does not allow debit cards to continue to be an option that we can offer.

This law only recently passed and already goes into effect next week. We are working diligently on getting an ATM for your convenience.
