The FinCEN RRE reporting changes are set to go into effect March 1, 2026 - for real this time. While the brunt of the work will fall on the title companies, I've been watching carefully to see how this will impact my practice. My take-away for real estate professionals? This rule change will impact our ability to "change" a buyer on short notice, for example when a buyer decides to take title in a trust or LLC. So, it will be more important than ever to have a very clear understanding of exactly who our buyers are from the get-go.

Yesterday, College of DuPage football played for and won their 5th consecutive National Championship, becoming only the third school at any college level to win five in a row. The athleticism on display was a sight to see and I am so glad I had the opportunity to not only watch the games, but learn about this incredible program through my son's not-so-clear-cut journey.
