Today is the last day of an era! We are so sad to see Kayla move on to different things in her life, but we are very thankful for the time we had working with her. Kayla has been an amazing part of the WLO team. While her move away from Maine was an adjustment for all of us, having Kayla go fully remote for the past couple of years ended up working out great. We made it work and Kayla remained a huge asset to our team and the adjustment was a testament to Kayla’s work ethic and great attitude. Kayla will be missed tremendously. We wish her the best of luck in all she does moving forward.

Kayla, thank you for all you did for WLO. We will miss you!!

From keeping the office cozy to greeting clients with tail wags, I’m doing my best to make you proud. And don’t worry—I’ve got lots of toys, great coworkers, and even my own legal pad (I mostly chew it, but it counts, right?).

Welcome Home, Miley ❤️🐾

The Willey Family has a new family member—meet Miley! 🥰 A sweet, resilient soul rescued from Playa Remanso in Nicaragua—the same beach where we found our beloved Macie. While the loss of Macie is still deeply felt, Miley has brought a new kind of joy into our hearts, helping us heal with her gentle spirit and crooked little run.

Now around 9 years old, Miley may have a wobbly gait and a toothless smile, but she has the heart of a warrior and the soul of an angel. She adores cuddles, sardines, and staying close to her people. We are honored to be part of her pack now—and she is already so loved

Big News from Sara and Ezra 🐾

We’re excited to share that earlier this year, the Willey family officially purchased Seaside Clinica Veterinaria in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua—a vital veterinary clinic that not only saved our beloved rescue dog Macie, but also serves as a crucial resource for animals and pet owners throughout the local community.

This opportunity came unexpectedly, but it aligned perfectly with our family’s values and the broader mission of Willey Law Offices: advocating for those without a voice, investing in community-driven impact, and doing what’s right—even when it’s hard.

Seaside Clinica Veterinaria plays an integral role in supporting SOS Animales, a dedicated nonprofit animal rescue organization. We are committed to working alongside them to continue and expand their efforts. Our goal is to strengthen the clinic’s capacity through strategic investment in infrastructure, equipment, and staff, ensuring it can remain a trusted and sustainable resource in the region for years to come.

While managing an international clinic from afar presents unique challenges, we’re working closely with a strong team on the ground to ensure a successful transition and long-term stability.
