A career rooted in direct legal services shaped Sarah into one of Maryland’s foremost advocates for civil legal access. As Executive Director of Civil Justice since 2019, she has dramatically increased the organization’s budget and launched the Maryland Justice Passport, a trauma-informed legal navigation platform that received the 2025 American Legal Technology Award for Access to Justice.
