STOP SCROLLING! 🛑 Before you fire up the grill and crack open a cold one, we need to talk about the REAL reason we have a long weekend.

We do not believe, “enjoy the long weekend” is the proper thought this weekend. While we all love a three-day weekend, we should stop to think about the price tag for our freedom? 🇺🇸 It certainly isn’t free. It was paid for by the brave men and women who gave EVERYTHING so we could enjoy these moments with our families.

Tonight, the ice at Dignity Health Arena is going to be electric. Our Bakersfield Condors are kicking off their 2026 Calder Cup Playoff run, and honestly, there’s nothing quite like playoff hockey in our city.

We’re coming in as the 5-seed against the 4-seed Coachella Valley Firebirds. But don’t let the numbers fool you: our Condors dominated the regular season with a 6-1-1 record against them. We know what it takes to win, and tonight is about setting the tone for this best-of-3 series.

This is the 6th time our team has fought their way into the AHL postseason. It’s about more than just a game; it’s about the grit, the loyalty, and the "no-nonsense" attitude we pride ourselves on here in Bakersfield.
