This job is exactly what you think it is: answering the phones; greeting visitors; sending and responding to business emails; attending to mail and packages; ordering supplies; scheduling phone, zoom, and in-person meetings and managing the office calendar; assisting the attorneys and other staff with various documents and projects in a deadline-driven environment; and generally keeping many balls in the air at once.
We require someone who is cheerful but professional. Friendly but sincere. Upbeat, a hard worker who pays attention to detail, is empathetic, resourceful, and customer service-oriented, and can adeptly switch from one task to another. It’s important that you have a good sense of humor and like to engage with your co-workers. It’s even more important that you practice discretion and confidentiality.
Our busy, woman-owned divorce and real estate law firm draws clients from Greater Hartford, the upper CT River Valley, and Litchfield County, navigating them through some of their biggest life transitions.
We pride ourselves on our ability to offer our clients practical solutions to complicated problems, while ensuring that they receive the personal attention they want and deserve.

â—Ź This is not a remote position. Daily attendance in our Avon office is required, as is reliable transportation for trips to the post office, delivering documents to area courthouses, and other necessary errands.
